As\u00ed, hay una necesidad de encontrar <strong>una soluci\u00f3n para eliminar estos qu\u00edmicos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Un equipo de investigaci\u00f3n del Instituto IMDEA (IMDEA Networks) en Espa\u00f1a present\u00f3 un dispositivo IoT que comunica <strong>sin necesidad de bater\u00edas y captura energ\u00eda<\/strong> y recibe datos a trav\u00e9s de la luz visible.<\/p>\n<p>A esta tecnolog\u00eda<strong> los investigadores la llaman Passive LiFi,<\/strong> ya que utiliza la retrodispersi\u00f3n de luz y radiofrecuencia (RF) como fuentes de energ\u00eda y la luz como un medio para transmitir datos de manera m\u00e1s eficiente.<\/p>\n<p>La misma se basa en LiFi, una tecnolog\u00eda que aprovecha la luz para transmitir y recibir informaci\u00f3n. LiFi, que es la abreviatura de \u00abfidelidad a la luz\u00bb, lleva casi 10 a\u00f1os en el mercado, con grandes empresas como Disney y Signify invirtiendo en \u00e9l, pero a\u00fan no ha llegado a la masividad.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sp__Normal\">\n<div class=\"image-embeb image-trigger\">\n<picture><source media=\"(min-width: 720px)\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clarin.com\/img\/2019\/06\/24\/lifi-que-es-la-abreviatura____Yz53e96w_720x0__1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" itemprop=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clarin.com\/img\/2019\/06\/24\/lifi-que-es-la-abreviatura____Yz53e96w_720x0__1.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"LiFi, que es la abreviatura de &quot;fidelidad a la luz&quot;, lleva casi 10 a\u00f1os en el mercado.\"\/><br \/>\n<\/source><\/picture><figcaption>\n<p>LiFi, que es la abreviatura de \u00abfidelidad a la luz\u00bb, lleva casi 10 a\u00f1os en el mercado.\n<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Los expertos se\u00f1alan que, como la luz es una onda, al igual que las olas en el agua y cuenta con una caracter\u00edstica conocida como polarizaci\u00f3n, que describe la direcci\u00f3n en la que vibran las ondas y permite controlar la luz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNuestro trabajo abre las puertas a aplicaciones del Internet de las Cosas de largo alcance y sin bater\u00edas, aprovechando la infraestructura de iluminaci\u00f3n para la comunicaci\u00f3n, algo que no era posible lograr antes\u201d, se\u00f1ala Domenico Giustinian, autor principal de la investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La mayor\u00eda de las transmisiones de datos inal\u00e1mbricas, como Wi-Fi y 5G, ocurren mediante el uso de radiofrecuencias. Pero con los LED, los ingenieros <strong>pueden modular la frecuencia de la luz de forma que transmitan informaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Y, por supuesto, tambi\u00e9n puede emitir datos encendiendo y apagando estos haces.<\/p>\n<h2>Velocidad luz<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cEste el resultado de tres a\u00f1os de investigaci\u00f3n.
