El D\u00eda Internacional de la Tolerancia tuvo su origen en el impulso de ese A\u00f1o.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;\">El desarrollo de la tolerancia y la confianza en las diversas comunidades no se logra de la noche a la ma\u00f1ana; es algo que requiere tiempo y esfuerzos. Establecer la tolerancia supone el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n. La intolerancia suele tener sus ra\u00edces en la ignorancia y el temor: temor a lo desconocido, al \u00abotro\u00bb, a otras culturas, religiones y naciones. La intolerancia est\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n estrechamente ligada a un sentimiento exacerbado de autoestima y orgullo, nociones ense\u00f1adas y aprendidas a edad temprana. Por tanto, en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os tenemos que hacer m\u00e1s hincapi\u00e9 en educar a los ni\u00f1os acerca de la tolerancia, los derechos humanos y las libertades fundamentales.<\/p>\n<p>Pero no debemos olvidar que la educaci\u00f3n no termina en el aula, y que los adultos -en primer lugar como personas capaces de cometer actos de intolerancia, pero sobre todo en su calidad de padres, legisladores y encargados de la aplicaci\u00f3n de la ley- tambi\u00e9n han de estar entre los principales destinatarios de nuestros esfuerzos educativos.<\/p>\n<p>Un D\u00eda Internacional de la Tolerancia puede ser una\u00a0<strong>ocasi\u00f3n anual de la educaci\u00f3n para la tolerancia<\/strong> as\u00ed como de reflexi\u00f3n y debates sociales y pol\u00edticos de mayor alcance sobre los problemas de intolerancia locales y mundiales.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien el problema de la intolerancia es mundial, en cuanto est\u00e1 aumentando en muchas partes del mundo, las manifestaciones de intolerancia generalmente adoptan formas locales o nacionales. As\u00ed, para ser eficaces, las normas mundiales contra la intolerancia tienen que combinarse con medidas locales, nacionales e individuales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">UNESCO propuso\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lacasadejara.org\/paginaweb\/tolerancia1611.html\">Diez Ideas para la Celebraci\u00f3n del D\u00eda Internacional de la Tolerancia<\/a><br \/>\n1.
